The Bold Use of Water

May 2008

How different would your use of water be if you had to obtain/transport it yourself?

Or, were rationed the precious resource?

Especially given an excessive delivery device.

Facts:

  • The average family wastes 27-105 gallons per day (12,000-38,000 per year) waiting for the hot water

  • 3 states: California, Texas, and Florida use a quarter of the U.S. water supply

  • 75% of the cost of municipal water comes from the electricity used to capture, treat, distribute water - even more energy is then used to treat the waste water
