We can find ourselves at times deliberately avoiding an unpleasant reality. Maybe our baggage that we carry influences how deep we put our heads in the sand. We are capable of numbing ourselves in various ways such as with alcohol, social media, thinking that the world is all unicorns and rainbows, food, gambling, sex, spending money and work…just to name a few.
